As you know I'm in LA (at LAX to head back to Chicago actually) for Miss Mya's wedding. It was a beautiful affair full of wonderful people who made this trip a lifelong memory. I was so happy to be a part of the wedding party even though I feel more worked then I've ever been as the head of my own corporation. It's been fun but laborious. Well worth it.
Did you know that I apparently am a jewelry designer, too? On the left you find me in one of the necklaces I made for the bridal party (which I was a part of ;). On the right is the other two necklaces and the shirt pin I crafted for the 'Man of Honor'. Nice, eh?
A pictorial of sorts ;)
I picked up a few things I thought I'd share with you. Yes, of course, mostly shoes:
As much as I love couture footwear, I must have the rundownable staples that add that instant flash and glam of this seasons trends. I saw the Bronx Galaxy Platform (LEFT) in the window of a tiny little boutique in San Clemente, called HABIT. The architectural lines of the sole reminded me of some of my favorite styles of the season (at a much more reasonable price point). The featured color was a pale off-nude leather that caught my eye instantly. Even in all the hussle and bustle of the wedding being that day, I took all of 5 minutes to decide between the ethereal hue and the not-so-standard black in this style. I went with the nude.
I was happy enough with the above purchase, but of course I jumped at the chance to get some last minute shopping in when Mya suggested our airport detour. I happened to stumble across the Steven cracked metallic leather maryjanes (RIGHT) I've been coveting but unable to find in my highly sought after size. They were on super sale and just the right fit! I really lucked out this trip. I'm still on the hunt for these Luichiny pumps, though:
A rich purple pump? Color me SOLD!
BTW, Just saw Lily Cole walk past me as I wait to be Re-Gated for my flight. Should've given her my card;) American Airlines, how I hate thee!
